A Sheltered Water Zero Emission USV: REAV-25’s Core Capabilities and Design Intent

REAV-25 was developed in response to a clear operational challenge: delivering reliable, commercial-grade capability in near-shore and shallow-water environments where access and control are critical.

Designed to operate in water depths as shallow as 50 cm, REAV-25 enables environmental and coastal monitoring in locations beyond the practical reach of traditional crewed vessels. Its compact, portable design supports single-person deployment and remote operation, reducing mobilisation effort while maintaining operational performance.

A category-leading 6 kW battery enables zero-emission, full-day operations, while shrouded, rim-driven propulsion provides precise manoeuvrability close to the shoreline. Together, these features support dependable operation in constrained and sensitive environments. Designed to align with MGN 702 (M), REAV-25 delivers practical, low-impact capability for inland, coastal, and near-shore survey work.

This short film introduces REAV-25, outlining the design intent, core capabilities, and the operational challenges it was built to address.
